Christine was admitted to legal practice in 1992. Before joining Madsen O'Dea, Christine worked for major commercial law firms in Adelaide and overseas, including time as a Senior Associate with Deacons, one of the oldest and largest international law firms in Hong Kong. Christine practices primarily in the fields of commercial litigation with a focus on insolvency law.
Christine has acted for the liquidators of one of the largest investment banks in Asia, with over 400 subsidiaries and an annual turnover of more than HK$200 million at the time of its collapse. Her role included securing the appointment of provisional liquidators in foreign jurisdictions, dealing with assets and subsidiaries in foreign jurisdictions, advising in relation to complex employment and cross-border recognition issues and obtaining urgent court orders for the preservation of assets. Christine acts for and provides insolvency advice to banks, insolvency appointment holders, regulatory bodies, companies and creditors.
